To all KLTA members and everyone who loves Korean language education,

It is a great honor to serve as President of the Korean Language Teachers Association (KLTA).

Teaching Korean in the United States is a meaningful endeavor that calls for both heart and dedication. Every day, Korean language teachers across this country open doors for their students — to language, to culture, and to a deeper understanding that bridges Korea and the United States. I am continually inspired by your dedication. As President, I pledge to listen to your voices and amplify them, and to do my very best to ensure that your hard work is fully supported and that your classrooms continue to flourish.

Moving forward, I will work to help KLTA reach more teachers, build broad partnerships, and grow into an organization that represents Korean language education across the United States. By actively sharing the work of our association, we will bring greater opportunities for professional development and connection back to all of our members.

I also hope that KLTA will be a community where we learn and grow together. Because language education is constantly evolving, I believe the best path forward — for our students' sake — is to keep learning ourselves. My goal is to build a thriving community in which every member is both a teacher and a learner.
